Washington Nationals Prospect Reassigned

Wilmington, DE - Right-handed starting pitcher Jake Irvin has been assigned to the Harrisburg Senators, the Washington Nationals' Double-A affiliate, according to a team announcement. The move comes after Irvin was activated from the 60-day injured list by the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the Nationals' High-A affiliate.

A Promising Prospect

Irvin, 25, is considered a promising prospect for the Nationals organization. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2015 and the Washington Nationals in 2018. Irvin has a career ERA of 3.13 and a WAR of 0.7.

Irvin's assignment to Harrisburg is a sign that the Nationals are confident in his recovery from injury. He had been on the injured list since August 2022 with a shoulder injury.

The Harrisburg Senators are currently in first place in the Eastern League Eastern Division with a record of 24-18. Irvin is expected to make his first start for the Senators in the coming days.
